Alors! Here are some brand new illustrations for the French magazine Revue XXI, published this month- but probably only available in France. It’s a story about Lutz Kayser, a German rocket scientist who invented a super-cheap method of launching rockets into space, and worked on space programmes in the Congo and in Libya, with a super Gadhafi-funded life of luxury. He now lives with his wife on a tropical atoll in the south Pacific. He’s basically a real life cross between a Bond film and a Roald Dahl short story.
There’s a Guardian article on him here, if you don’t fancy reading through the French- although the Guardian article plays up the island atoll and plays down the requests from various dictators to get Kayser to build nuclear missiles.
