Illustration time! While I was away in Italy and France, I also got a call for an illustration job- lucky that I always seem to travel reasonably near a pile of paper and ink and a laptop!
It’s for the New Humanist magazine, and it’s about a series of tragic murders in Bangladesh, where outspoken atheists have been brutally killed by militant Islamists. Now, you might think that it was difficult to get into the mindset of such a dark piece on an idyllic Italian holiday, but try going around any of the museums in Florence: about 50% of all renaissance painting seems to be about people being brutally killed over a variety of religious differences.
Anyway, it’s a nice bit of ink drawing, coloured digitally. And it’s out now!
