Voyeur!

New print! At last.

WG distortion screenI made this for a project that a friend of mine is organising, about making prints on the theme of Distortion. More on that later. But I’ve spent so much time drawing lately it was a real godsend to get back into the print workshop and enjoy the whirling excitement of printmaking. This is a two-block print, not a reduction cut (the lower block is printed with a red to yellow blend, the upper one is a transparent blue). I thought swimming naked was a fun thing to draw, and people in water are great to show with linocuts- and also, it makes use of all those thousands of life drawing studies which I’ve been doing lately! Anyway, I’m really happy with it, and with the colours, and the lightness and levity of the whole thing. Yippee!
