A little something for Sunday night: here is a poster for the film The Pianist by Roman Polanski, starring Adrian Brody and Adrian Brody’s incredibly sad face. Anyway, getting away from the focal imagery of the film, I thought I’d make something out of the Warsaw ghetto itself, and the idea of being trapped inside this incredibly bleak edifice.
If you really like this, it’s on show at the moment along with an exhibition of some other very talented illustrators in the Edinburgh Filmhouse on Lothian Road. We’re having a launch tomorrow night at 6.30 so if you’re in town then come along. Prints are also for sale through their box office but if you don’t have a chance you can send me an email and I’ll send you one. They cost £25.
