This will be a quick post, because it’s two o’clock in the morning and I’ve been the studio for what feels like forever (and the theatre for much less time). Anyway, last weekend Dan Tysen and I made a live mural at this jazz festival thing. I was kept alive on coffee and gin and tonic and I painted all night. Here is the result (which had been taken down then reassembled in our studio, with the joins smoothed out in photoshop. Photos from the night will appear shortly). To give an impression of scale, its about 8 metres wide and two metres tall. Fun!
Oh and, because this is the internet and not a book, if you click on the picture you will find it blown up to some absurd proportion, and you can count the pianist’s fingers or the hairs on the Russian sailor’s chest or whatever takes your fancy.
